![]() ![]() I presume I have not put everything in, but I did check. Whenever I try selecting "MONKEY_4" with the ResidualVM program it does not detect it. (Through this link I downloaded the first MonkeyUpdate) ![]() *MonkeyUpdate is in files.m4b, downloaded from here: O=A I followed exactly the same instructions as described MikeE.Ĭurrently I have a folder called "MONKEY_4" which contains:įiles that are m4b (contained in a folder called "files.m4b")Ī folder which contains the movie files called "Movies"Ī folder which contains all the texture stuff called "Textures" (with renamed files as described by MikeE) I too am having trouble installing Escape from Monkey Island (EFMI). WARNING: Lua: call expression not a function! INFO: OpenGL Renderer: Intel(R) HD Graphics Looking for a plugin supporting this gameid. User picked target 'monkey4-win' (gameid 'monkey4'). We ignored this error and it just displays a blank screen in the OpenGL Renderer window. On trying to Start it does a data file check and complains that local.m4b is missing but looking at the CDs I can't see any local.m4b file to copy. Please can someone tell me what I've done wrong or missed during installation. ResidualVM could not find any game in the specified directory! However, when I attempt to add the game to ResidualVM I get the error: I downloaded the patch files into the folder on my hard disk Where files already existed, I kept the CD1 versions and didn't overwrite I chose to merge the folders from CD2 into the ones on the hard disk folder from CD1 I followed the instructions in the documentation and did the following:įrom CD1, copied the m4b and Movies and Textures folder to that folder, and renamed the file in Textures to FullMonkeyMap1.imtįrom CD2, copied the m4b and Movies and Textures folder to that folder, and renamed the file in Textures to FullMonkeyMap2.imt Having played all the Monkey Islands, we now want to play number 4 and we have bought a PC version on CD to install under ResidualVM.
